Scratch highlights individual team members for quarterly performance awards.
When it comes to our Scratch co-pilots, they can tackle any intellectual obstacles thrown their way. This past quarter, we encountered some challenging moments that allowed our team to show major persistence and strength. We all rose to the challenge, but a few co-pilots outperformed our basic quarterly expectations with poise, skill, and clear love for doing what they do — all while flying at hundreds of miles per hour.
Before announcing the Q3 winners, here’s a reminder of what Scratch’s Roger Murdock Awards mean:
Named after the greatest co-pilot of all time from the 1980 motion picture Airplane! (“Roger, Roger”), these awards recognize Scratch’s employees (“co-pilots”) for going above and beyond normal standards—including outstanding performance across both client work and internal Scratch projects.
This quarter, we would also like to express our gratitude to our special edition silver and bronze recipients for keeping Scratch’s company culture bright! With much excitement, we are happy to share with you the eight team members who overcame big challenges and have proven to be excellent examples of what makes the Scratch team soar.
Congratulations to Fatimah, Rachel, Dana, Emilie, Kat, Shannon, Lindsay, and Victoria!
Our Co-Pilots Go Above & Beyond…
Gold: Fatimah Nouilati, Account Manager
As one of our star PR Account Managers, Fatimah gracefully took the reins on a handful of busy Scratch client accounts, all while proving that she can successfully streamline many tasks at once and bring the “so what?!” to the forefront of each PR strategy. She also recently celebrated her one year Scratch-iversary. She has taken her role wholeheartedly while skillfully guiding her fellow co-pilots and clients on the path to growth. Fatimah inspires us to go for the gold every single day!
Silver: Rachel Tierney, Associate Account Manager
A crucial member of Scratch’s marketing team, Rachel has become a go-to guru for all things social media and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She consistently goes above and beyond for our clients, managing several of Scratch’s key accounts with poise and grace. Her constant willingness to learn and kind demeanor make her a standout, dependable member of our team.
Special Edition Silver: Shannon Mullins, Account Manager
Without Shannon’s selflessness, the team at Scratch would not have the deep-rooted company culture we currently enjoy. This past summer, Shannon led the initiatives around our company-wide outing that took place over a weekend on a private lake island — facilitating the ultimate summer-camp-like team bonding experience. From arranging team events to keeping co-pilots in mind for birthdays or major milestones, Shannon has always been there to create a welcoming environment and guide and embody our team culture.
Bronze: Dana Zemack, Vice President of Public Relations, Emilie Jurion, Account Executive, Katerina Peña, Creative Director
We welcomed Dana as our newest VP on the PR team this summer. She took charge, brought thoughtfulness and deep insights to all client work, and eagerly jumped into problem-solving across clients. It’s a pleasure to have her as a co-pilot.
Without fail, Emilie contributes new ideas to enhance client coverage, and is always building her skills as a vital member of the PR team. From securing top-tier media opps and building killer media lists to packaging really insightful news scans for PR clients across the board, Emilie’s insights and attention to detail wholeheartedly deserve this recognition..
Kat leads the creative team by example. She is a creative director who, with each project, inspires and motivates our team to create more thoughtful and purpose-filled designs. Her passion for the work and overall enthusiasm are contagious. With weekly design team meetings, she trains and supports the team through new ways to think about mood boards, how to audit competitors as a way to inform our own work, and continues to push our current projects forward with clear and concise direction and input.
Special Edition Bronze: Lindsay Kerr, Senior Graphic Designer, Victoria Thorpe, Account Manager
Lindsay and Vic took charge of keeping the Scratch spirit and culture alive this quarter by rolling up their sleeves to map out our new Cambridge office, taking frequent in-person trips to make sure things were on track and coming along as planned, and selecting amazing art and decor to add the final touches to the office interior design — all while juggling extremely busy schedules of their own. The new Scratch homebase would not be the same without their efforts.
Huge thank you to our Q3 winners for their ongoing support and hard work!
