Scratch highlights individual team members for quarterly performance awards.
As we continue to make our way through 2021, we’re reflecting on our co-pilots’ hard work and creativity so far this year. The first quarter of the year is always a busy one, with exciting client announcements and a whole lot of strategizing and brainstorming for the year ahead. We’re so lucky to have a team that never fails to show up and bring fresh ideas to the table.
We took a moment away from the everyday hustle and bustle of agency life to choose our Roger Murdock Award recipients for the quarter. Before announcing the Q1 winners, here’s a brief recap of what Scratch’s Roger Murdock Awards mean:
Named after the greatest co-pilot of all time from the 1980 motion picture Airplane! (“Roger, Roger”), these awards recognize Scratch’s employees (“co-pilots”) for going above and beyond normal standards—including exceptional performance across both client work and internal Scratch projects.
This quarter, it was too difficult to choose just three individuals who have exhibited excellent work. Instead, we’ve chosen five individuals that have stood out for their commendable work ethic, high-quality results and contagious positivity. We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Q1 winners… drumroll please… Kelsey, Fatimah, Mike, Kara, and Shannon!
Gold: Kelsey Dielman, Senior Public Relations Manager
Kelsey has quickly become an integral and crucial member of the PR team in the short time she’s been here at Scratch. She consistently brings creative ideas to the table, both internally and with our clients, and her organizational skills are seriously unmatched. We all learn something new every time we work with Kelsey, and we particularly admire her exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and the way she goes above and beyond to drive outstanding results.
Silver: Fatimah Nouilati, Account Manager
Fatimah never fails to rise up to the challenge and tackle all projects thrown her way, and she really knows how to pivot when necessary. She seamlessly handles her client accounts and consistently delivers phenomenal results with grace, making sure nothing ever slips through the cracks. No matter what, Fatimah does what it takes to get the job done and does it well. She’s reliable and hardworking, and we’re beyond lucky to have her as a part of our team!
Bronze: Mike Connor, Account Manager, Kara Mongell, Senior Graphic Designer, and Shannon Mullins, Account Manager
Mike is the definition of a team player, and constantly impresses with his outside-the-box strategies. He is a critical member of Scratch’s marketing team and someone we know we can always count on to deliver.
Kara’s graphic design work consistently wows us (and our clients) to say the least. Kara is always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it comes to tight deadlines and limited resources, and that does not go unnoticed.
Shannon is the backbone of so many projects. She has exquisite project management skills, meets every deadline, and always stays on top of the latest and greatest in PR, even while juggling a multitude of client projects. She is truly one of the most reliable people at Scratch.
Mike, Kara, and Shannon are all-around amazing co-pilots that we deeply value, hence why it came down to a three-way tie for the bronze!
These Co-Pilots Are Helping Scratch Fly and Client Partners Soar
Thank you Kelsey, Fatimah, Mike, Kara, and Shannon for never failing to go above and beyond to help Scratch and our clients reach new heights. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: we measure our own success through the growth and achievements that we see in them.
Congratulations to the well-deserved award winners—we look forward to all that your futures hold!
