Marketing Agency Account Manager/Director

We need a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter. The Account Manager /Director will play a key role in client service planning and delivery as well as the growth and development of the agency and the team. The ideal candidate thinks strategically and consistently works to drive meaningful outcomes for clients. This candidate must have strong project and client management, social media and communication skills. We need a thinker and a doer.

The Basics:
- BA in marketing, journalism, or mass communications
- At least three years of hands-on experience in a marketing, PR or ad agency or an in-house marketing department
- Ability to frame problems and come up with creative solutions
- Ability to distill complex information into actionable insights and programs
- BExperience managing marketing and communications projects from beginning to end
Required Marketing and Communications Skills:
- Excellent writing and communication skills, experience with blog writing; Experience writing or contributing to industry white papers a plus
- Experience in marketing a business using digital and social media
- Knowledge of web and social analytics
- Great command of social media publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, Radian6, Mixpanel, others)
- Experience in creating and executing media and influencer relations programs
- Proficiency in using media databases (e.g. Vocus, MyMediaInfo)
- Inbound marketing/ SEO skills – good understanding of inbound marketing principles, experience in managing inbound and SEO programs for brands

Responsibilities:
- Developing creative, measurable strategies to get results for clients
- Researching and learning clients’ industry to a level of expertise
- Assisting in content and communication strategy development and execution, including blog posts and white papers
- Building and sustaining relationships with media, digital influencers and business partners
- Demonstrating proficiency in media and influencer relations, including developing and executing traditional and online media outreach plans and social media communications
- Leading and mentoring project team members
- Proven project management skills
